  3.    * chngd: the cumbersome bracketOut="I=O" or bracketOut="" is now
  4.             simply bracketOut=1 or bracketOut=0 (genius at work <g>)
  5.    * fixed: comLevelOut=0 now works properly by removing "!" and "?"
  6.    * fixed: corrupted .CFG files are now automatically erased. How they
  7.             get corrupted--except by editing?--is a mystery. Pass along
  8.             any such observations.
  9.    * added: multiple configuration files: no more resetting switches
  10.             after the first time. Use simple, easy-to-remember names
  11.             such as "n2p" (NTR to PGN) or "p2n". Let Normal.cfg be
  12.             your default. Create a "n2pfin" for CBASCII which removes
  13.             all comments (bracketOut=0 & comLevelOut=0). Since all files
  14.             without extensions are assumed to be .cfg files, input files
  15.             *must* have extensions such as .txt, .pgn, etc.

  19. As an exercise to get used to Normal.exe, try converting all these games 
  20. to standard NTR or PGN format. By passing the headers back and forth 
  21. between NTR and PGN it's easy to spot any errors. For some of the 
  22. unformatted games, you can make a partial conversion (to PGN) by setting 
  23. off selected items in square [ ] brackets and add a keyword. No quotes 
  24. ("") are required. Keyword case is not significant. Multiple brackets on 
  25. a line [kw data] [kw data] are okay. If the game is closer to NTR format, 
  26. make whatever touch-ups are necessary. After several alternating runs, 
  27. you'll have them all in a single format with all moves validated.

  29. When ready to convert headers, make sure the convert header switch is
  30. set on: "convertHdrs=1".

  39. analyzer on my 486-50. Fritz found 5.Nc3 OK, then analyzed the continuations as follows:
